The Pittsburgh Alumnae STEAM Scholarship

$1050.00 Award

The Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce the Fall 2024 STEAM Academic Scholarship to eligible applicants. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize academic excellence for students who plan to study Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Math.

ELIGIBILITY
Must be a class of 2024 High School students graduating from a school located in the Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter servicing area, attending a 4-year University or Community College. The student should be in good standing with an overall quality grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.8 or higher.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING
Secure an application from the Scholarship Chairpersons via E-Mail or on the Pittsburgh Alumnae website: htttp://dstpghalumnae.org. Applicants must complete and send the application packet to the Scholarship Committee via E-Mail to [email protected] OR via the USPS. The applicant packet must consist of: (1) Completed Application (2) Essay (3) two Reference Letters and (4) Transcript to:

Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter Collegiate Scholarship

$1000.00 Award

The Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce the Collegiate Scholarship Award for Fall 2024. Its purpose is to recognize academic excellence to our local collegiate Sorors.

ELIGIBILITY
Must be a financial member of a collegiate chapter in the servicing area of the Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter. The applicant must be a Junior or Senior in the Fall of 2024.

The applicant should have an overall quality grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.25 or higher and must be able to express her own views coherently while using a central idea, possess organizational skills and exhibit strong support points to address the essay topic that is identified within the application requirements section.

The applicant must be a financial member in the current semester when submitting the application and for the subsequent fiscal year. In addition, the applicant must be able to demonstrate her contributions of Leadership, Community Service and Scholarship. If the applicant is selected, the distribution of the Scholarship Award will be contingent upon receiving Proof of Enrollment at a four-year accredited institution.

$500.00 Award

The Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce the Fall 2024 Book Scholarship to eligible applicants.

Dr. Vernell A. Lillie Arts Scholarship for High School Seniors and
Undergraduate College Students (i.e.: Freshman, Sophomores & Juniors)

$2000.00 Award

The Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. continues its biannual arts scholarship. For the purpose of this scholarship, the arts are defined to encompass vocal music, instrumental music, music education, performance, music theory & composition, visual arts, art history, art education, design, graphic design, creative writing, drama, theatre arts, new media, film studies, dance, choreography and photography.

CRITERIA:
The applicant should have an overall grade point average (G.P.A.) minimum of 2.75 on a four-point scale.
Must be a High School senior attending a school in our servicing area OR and undergraduate College student in our servicing area, who will be enrolling in a 4-year College/University degree institution or Community College to pursue education and careers in the arts.
